Over $240,000 Raised for Inner-City Youth

Our 17th Annual Impact Gala was our largest Gala in more ways than one. With over 200 guests in attendance, Urban Youth Impact was able to raise over $240,000 that will directly benefit the inner-city youth in our communities; the most crime-infested neighborhoods in Palm Beach County.

The Palm Beach County neighborhoods we serve have the most at-risk children due to poverty levels, school readiness, graduation rates, teen birth rates, violence, and fatherlessness. The partnerships developed with Urban Youth Impact will provide the love, equipping and empowering our inner-city youth need to help them discover their God-given purpose.

The Gala was held at the Sailfish Club on Palm Beach, themed A Night in Shining Armor to bring awareness to the neighborhoods they serve. Guests in attendance experienced the heart of Urban Youth Impact as they heard stories of current UYI students as well as one of our alumni, Gerald Hearns. Gerald shared his powerful story of overcoming the obstacles of living in the urban community and how Urban Youth Impact attributed to his success story. He is now preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennesee.

In addition, Urban Youth Impact’s Founder Bill Hobbs spoke expressing why he chose 20-year UYI veteran, Chris Tress, to serve as our new President/CEO. Bill is now better positioned to help fund the organization for reaching more youth in the community under Chris’ new leadership.

We are grateful to all those who joined us to celebrate the accomplishments of our inner-city youth and advancing the ministry work within our local community. Together, we will continue to reach more inner-city youth to love, equip and empower them to fulfill their God-given purpose.
