Reframe gives students the opportunity to acquire life skills that are necessary for future employment. Since the start of this program in 2000, over 180 internship opportunities have been provided. In 2012, UYI launched its year-round ReFrame Work Program for in-school and out-of-school youth ages 16 to 22.
ReFrame’s year-long program is designed to empower young adults to become employable, eager and employed for good. ReFrame is more than a job placement program; it will focus on building youth’s character and competency for them to accomplish their career goals. ReFrame recognizes how crucial it is to work with young adults in a more holistic approach. With this in mind, each student will build relationships with life coaches, set goals, complete community service projects and complete several life skills. After these core values are developed in the students, then they will be placed in a paid internship at a local business.
